So many of us look to art for healing our souls. One way to help heal your soul is to release your creativity in an art journal.

I had these sweet little 5 x 7 journals I created several years ago but didn't really seem to have the time to embellish them much.

I decided to embellish them with some of the Perfect Paints Shimmering Acrylics and Texture mediums!

For the first journal I wanted to add some texture to my art, so the first product I reached for was Shimmering Matte Acrylics in Peacock. On the "543", I used a heat gun and loved how it created some interesting effects of texture on the petals!

For the middle journal, I used the Celestial Sun stencil, Clear Texture Gel and applied glitter with some added metal embellishments and rhinestone chain.

For the fabric rose on the third journal, I applied a top layer of Polishing Plaster. All those little touches add a whole lot of unique creative qualities to the existing journals making them Pop with color and texture!

Celestial Sun Journal

Place the stencil in the center of the cover and use a palette knife apply the clear texture gel through the Celestial Sun stencil and level off.

Sprinkle the glitter over the Clear texture Gel and tip to the side to let excess fall off onto a piece of paper ( can be used for other projects)

Let dry

Add the Rhinestone chain and metal circle with the Clear Texture Gel ( it acts as a glue as well )
