Three small framed pictures of nature, featuring a dragonfly, flower with bee, and bird, are set inside a larger ornate blue frame on a blue wall.

So gorgeous and EASY. The hardest thing about this project was hanging it.

SUPPLIES: Perfect Paints Polishing Plaster #1080 Boho Blue

Other Supplies: Stipple brush, Old ornate wood frame, paper towels, picture hanging supplies and tools.

Instructions:

  1. Clean the frame thoroughly and let dry for 24 hours.

    The frame I started with.
  2. Apply Polishing Plaster #1080 Boho Blue generously with a stipple brush over the entire frame, but working in small sections about 12" or less at a time.

Open jar of blue polishing plaster next to ornate wood painted blue on paper background. Jar reads "Pate à Chaux, Polishing Paste."

  3. Use a paper towel to wipe off the Polishing Plaster #1080 Boho Blue from the raised areas. Wipe each section before moving on to apply more Polishing Plaster to the next section.

Open jar of blue polishing plaster with a brush nearby. Ornate wooden frame half-painted in blue on a beige surface. Text reads "Perfect Day."

  4. Be sure to cover the inside ledges, too.

  5. Let the frame dry completely. Touch up any areas as needed and hang in your space as desired.

This is the grouping in my home. It's the beginning of a large "wall of art". The colors compliment each other and the style is whimsical, but nature inspired. Yes, my bedroom walls are that bright blue and there's gold glitter in the paint as well!

I hope you are inspired to upcycle a gorgeous project today.
