Hello everyone! Myry here with a easy peasy tutorial!
So, It's finally spring, the flowers bloom, the warmth of the sun returns... I get lazy and want to lie down on the grass and enjoy the good weather xD

So here I was, watching the daffodils start to bloom (the ones that were left alive after the terrible winter... my poor plants!!) And I thought "what vibrant Shimmering Matte Acrylics colors could I use..."
Let's see: Rain Slicker, Halo, Northern Lights, Coral and Peacock Blue.

Step by step: draw the stamens, 4 petals, the stem, the needle-shaped leaves and some small flowers.
Now that I look at it... it looks horrible! But I think you get the idea :D
I'd better go paint a chipboard of daffodils I've stored away here!
So, Rain Slicker for the stamens...

Northern Lights for the stems...

Halo for the petals

And I used Sea glass for the frame.

I drew the outline of the figure on cardboard and painted the outer part with Northern Lights and the inner part with a mixture of Rain Slicker and Peacock Blue.

This took a while to dry. I also gave the petals more volume by adding layer upon layer of Halo.

I made a hole so I could put a bow.

And a little Halo splatter to finish!

I love flowers, and I like doing this kind of work with them as main character even more!
I wonder if I could paint a large daffodil with the Shimmering Matte Acrylics...
I'll have to try it!
Have a good weeek :)
See you!
