One With Nature Wall Decor With Perfect Paints

Hello everyone!! Jenn here and I am very excited to share another altered project with you! This time I have altered this window frame using a beautiful array of Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints. I have even mixed a special color just for this project and will share the mixture below! Join me as I turn this plain frame into a work of art!


Supplies:


Additional Items Used:

Wooden windowpane style frame

Clear Gesso

White Matte Acrylic Paint

Chipboards

Flowers

Die Cut Leaves

Black Chipboard

Foam Adhesive

Glue Gun

49 & Market papers

Beads

Instructions:

Coat frame in clear gesso and allow to dry completely.

Cut decorative paper to size and apply to back side of the frame.

(Please note this picture was taken after color-washing the frame with my custom mixed color.)

Next, gather the following Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints For Mixing. You will also need some white matte acrylic paint.

Mix equal parts of colors shown, then add a few drops of the white matte acrylic paint.

Mixing Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints


Paint Chipboard pieces (sun frame here) using Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint in Rain Slicker. Once dry add some light brushes of white matte acrylic paint.

Water down the custom mixed color and paint the frame surface only. Allow to dry or dry with a heat tool.

Assemble the focal point using painted chipboard, flowers, die cuts, and image and adhere them to the frame. Use chipboard scraps or foam adhesive at different thicknesses to achieve a dimensional look.

Cover image and quote and splatter with a bit of white matte acrylic paint. Add some pearls and brushes of white matte paint over the flowers s a finishing touch. Add a few brushes of watered down Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint in Peacock Blue to areas under flowers and chipboard to create darker shadows. Be sure to use a very small brush for this technique.
