Ole Smoky Barrelhouse 12x12 Scrapbook Layout with Perfect Paints

Hello crafty friends, Jody here with a new mixed media scrapbook layout! I am needing to catch up on some trips before new ones roll around. I decided to document my husbands Moonshine tasting in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I used a collection from 49 and Market called Curators Meadow. I had complimentary colors from my Perfect Paints products to use.

I used the gorgeous color of the Shimmering Matte Acrylics in Barely There. I also used Frosted Pine from the Polishing Plasters and lastly I used the Texture Medium Riverstone.

I started with a stencil from my stash and pushed plenty of Polishing Plaster Frosted Pine through to get a great impression. After lifting the stencil I then sprayed water on the side with the medium to make a stamped image of the stencil. It is a fun and different way to use your mediums plus it decreases wasted product.

I continued with the same process, using the texture mediums through stencil then using as a stamp for the Texture Medium Riverstone. I love to grit this medium has. So dimensional on the page! I also added Barely There to a mister to bring some extra shine to the page. It worked out beautifully.

The completed layout is fully of color, texture and shine. I added a few clusters of embellishments and the Passport memento to finish it off.

I created a youtube video to share the process of stamping and stenciling with Polishing Plaster!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you to use paint on your next project.

Jody
