Elegant Fall Cards With Perfect Paints
Hello Everyone! Jenn DuBell here, and I’m excited to bring you another creative project that celebrates the beauty of fall! As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, there’s no better time to craft stunning cards that capture the essence of the season.
Today, I’ll be sharing a tutorial of my fall-themed slimline cards that I’ve created using the fantastic range of products from Perfect Paints.
With a blend of vibrant colors, fun techniques, and a touch of creativity, these cards are not only a joy to make, but they’re also perfect for sending warm wishes to friends and loved ones. So, let’s dive in and get ready to craft some seasonal magic together!
Let's take a look at the products used to create these!
Supplies:
Distress Inks
49&Market Papers and quotes
Gold Embossing Powder
Art Glitter Glue
Sizzix Tim Holtz Die Set Leaf Print
Gelli Plate
Directions:
To begin, I cut two sheets of heavy ivory cardstock to 7 1/2"X 8 1/2". These were both scored at 3 3/4" with the 7 1/2" length across the top of the scoreboard. They were both folded on the score line to create 3 3/4" X 8 1/2" card bases.
Two pieces of gold cardstock were cut for the first mat at 3 5/8" X 8 3/8".
Two Pieces of patterned paper (green) were cut for the second mat at 3 1/2" X 8 1/4". These pieces were distressed on the edges using a distress tool.
For the main background, two pieces were cut from patterned paper with a white base at 3 1/4" X 8".
Add Perfect Clear Gel through a stencil on the smallest piece cut for the background. Allow this to dry.
Add a small bead of glue to the outer edges of the two smallest (white) pieces. Dip the edges in gold embossing powder and set with a heat gun.
Next, add Frosted Pine Polishing Plaster with finger or sponge to raised areas.
To create the leaves:
Using a gelli plate and Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paints, create a few prints to cut leaves from.
Cut several leaves from the prints created. Cut both the background and skeleton pieces.
Add embossing medium and gold embossing powder to the skeleton portions and adhere them to the leaves.
Finally assemble the cards and add the leaves to create a focal point.
I added some bits of sisal and beads along with quotes from 49&Market.
To finish them off, splatters of Honey Gold Shimmering Matte Acrylic Paint and Antique Linen Distress Ink were added.
Thanks so much for visiting and viewing my project using Perfect Paints! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of these amazing products and create something beautiful!
