The Enchanting Lantern
When autumn arrives, the world is painted in warm hues of orange, red, and gold. As a craft enthusiast, I couldn't resist the temptation to capture this cozy season's essence and turn it into a piece of home decor. The perfect canvas for this project was a 3D lantern chipboard covered in Perfect Paints, in four stunning shades.
To embody the fall spirit, I selected three shades from the Perfect Paints collection: Vintage Patina, Coral, Aged Copper. These colors promised to evoke the charm of falling leaves, the richness of pumpkins, and the soothing coolness of autumn nights.
The process of painting the 3D lantern chipboard was a mesmerizing journey. Each shade played its part to bring life to the lantern. Vintage Patina provided a rustic backdrop, like the warm wooden tones of a country cottage.
Aged Copper added depth and character, resembling the fallen leaves that rustle underfoot.
Cantaloupe, vibrant and lively, reminded me of the last blush of summer, holding onto the season's warmth.
Finally, Peacock Blue, a serene and deep shade, promised to evoke the tranquility of a clear autumn sky.
To further enhance the lantern's fall theme, I adorned it with ephemera, including whimsical pumpkins, delicate mushrooms, and tiny acorns from Crate Paper Magical Forest paperpack. These pieces of nature's art transformed the lantern into a cozy haven of fall memories.
