Rustic Romance Layout with Perfect Paints
“Every love story is beautiful, but mine is painted with shimmer!”
For this project, I transformed a simple MDF base into an elegant wedding-themed décor piece using Perfect Paints. I started by painting the base with Halo Shimmering Acrylics, giving it a soft glow. To create an aged, textured effect, I applied Dove’s Wing Polishing Plaster, which instantly gave the piece an old, rustic charm.
Using a stencil, I added more dimension with the same plaster, followed by a layer of Clear Texture Gel for extra depth. Since the gel dries clear, it allowed the colors to shine beautifully in the next steps.
To bring the background to life, I blended Vintage Mercury Shimmering Acrylics for a soft, antique look, followed by Frosted Rose to add a romantic touch. I then added depth using Peony and Coral Shimmering Acrylics, creating a warm and celebratory feel.
For the centerpiece, I painted a delicate wedding trellis using Aged Copper Shimmering Acrylics and highlighted the vines with Honey Gold.
Finally, I arranged florals and leafy elements around the focal image of a bride and groom, completing the dreamy wedding scene.
