LOVE Mixed Media Layout
Good morning! I'm doing what I love the most... playing with mixed media. I don't play with mixed media enough, but I'm going to change that now that I'm on the Perfect Paints design team! For those who do not know me, I'm Nicole Martel and I've been scrapbooking for over 23 years. I live in Maryland with my husband of 19 years and I have a 13 year old son. I Love to read, scrapbook, and travel. I am very passionate when it comes to this hobby and I hope to inspire you for the next 12 months!
For today's project, I'm using Perfect Paints' Shimmering Acrylic Paint in Ballet Slipper and the Polishing Plaster in Shimmering Sage.
I used a metal palette knife to apply the Polishing Plaster onto the base of the layout.
It has such a nice texture!! I just love it so much. I let it dry for a few hours or you could use a low temp heat gun.
I just love that texture. After it was completely dry, I placed it in a box and splattered the Ballet Slipper Shimmering Acrylic Paint all over to add some pink speckles.
It got a little messy... make sure you do this outside... I didn't and I ended up splattering paint all over my chair... LOL... This paint is super light and it is so smooth. I love it.
After the paint was completely dry, I embellished the layout using embellishments from 49 & Market. It is perfect for the this photo of my family in Paris!
The "Love" sentiment was cut out using metal dies from The Stamp Market on white cardstock and then I used my fingers to color the die using the Ballet Slipper Shimmering Acrylic Paint.
