Happy Mind, Happy Life Mixed Media Layout
Hello, friends! Nicole here with a mixed media layout I created using the Gilded Azure Polishing Plaster and 49 and Market Serenity Collection. I just love the texture of this mixed media medium and it goes through stencils nice and smooth with a palette knife!
The color is so beautiful... I love blue. It's my favorite color and half of my wardrobe is blue. :) My friends make fun of me.
You can really see how pretty the Gilded Azure color is in this photo.
And it has a nice consistency. Not too thin or think. It's just perfect for pulling through stencils to create a fun background for your projects.
Before starting, be sure to tape down the stencil to prevent the stencil from slipping. It makes the process so much simpler.
Look at how pretty that looks! You can see how much texture the Polishing Plaster adds to the layout.
I let it dry a few hours before assembling the layout. I used 49 and Market's Serenity Collection. It's so pretty and perfect for this photo of my sister and grandmother in Paris. Lucky them! One day, I'll travel again.
I layered lots of die cuts together to help frame the photo.
To add dimension to the die cuts, I popped them up using foam squares.
What do you think? Isn't this lovely. I'll be giving this layout to my sister! I'm working on an album for her to give her for Christmas.
Don't forget to check out the Polishing plasters in the shop! They are gorgeous and you need them if you like using stencils or a nice texture to your projects! Click here to check them out! Thank you for visiting today!
