For Mother's Day I wanted to make something super special. I love antique or vintage items, and this was the perfect project for both of those. Several different types of Perfect Paints products and a little love all rolled into one.
Supplies:
Laser cut handled box
Artificial flowers
Floral block
Perfect Paints Glaze Medium
Perfect Paints White Crackle Texture Medium
Perfect Paints Polishing Plaster in Whipped Carmel
Perfect Paints Polishing Plaster in Clover Honey
Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylic in Beach Sand and Aged Copper
White Craft Chalk paint
Brown Craft Chalk paint

Using a laser, I cut out the box and glued everything together. Once everything set good, I then covered the entire box in brown chalk paint. Let this dry real good before the next step.

Using the white chalk paint - brush on the paint but make sure to let some of the brown come through. This gives your project an aged look. I did this to the entire box.

While the white paint is drying, I went ahead and added some of the White Crackle Texture Medium and Perfect Glaze Medium. I used a palette knife for both and only covered a few areas here and there on all sides, as well as the handle.

Still using the palette knife, scrap on some of the Whipped Carmel Polishing Plaster and the Aged Copper Shimmering Matte acrylic paint. Make sure to add some to the edges. I did this to both sides as well as the handle.

Set aside and let everything dry. Once dry, add the Beach Sand Shimmering Matte Acrylic in the same fashion. Just randomly. I added a touch more of the Polishing plaster to the handle. I really wanted to make it look aged. I love that patina copper gets after time and wanted to duplicate that look.

Cut the floral foam blocks to fit down into the box. I cut all the flower stems and added them one at a time into the foam block, making sure to give a full look with the flowers. I absolutely LOVE this box and how it turned out. Add a little Mother's Day pick and you will have the perfect give that will last forever!
Happy crafting,
