Hey guys! Michelle here doing what I do best...mixed media and cards! What can I say, it's my jam! So this is the latest in my watercolor background obsession. I promise I'll get a new obsession but for now I hope you will enjoy!
This background is done with the watercolor technique using Perfect Paints Shimmering Matte Acrylics I showed you a few times using the Bohemian Blue Shimmering Matte Acrylic. In case you missed that technique, you can see it here.

Basically you saturate your paper with water were you would like the color to be and then dab some of the acrylic into the watered area and let it spread around. NOTE: If you are using more than 30% water it is recommended you add Perfect Glaze Medium into the paint, this will help the paints create transparency without diluting the color and it will add more polymer for strength.
Once it dries well it leaves a lovely shimmery watercolored background that is ready for your mixed media project. In this case it will be a card.
I've talked before about doing these in batches so you can easily grab them when you are ready to create, this is a perfect example of a way to use this. Make a bunch of these in batches, let them dry and then when you are ready you have some great prepped cards that are ready for your mixed media and ephemera.

Thanks so much for stopping! I hope you were inspired to make something beautiful!
