HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARDS by NICOLE MARTEL

Good morning! Nicole here with two happy birthday cards I created using the Shimmering Sage and Gilded Azure Polishing Plaster. These two colors look so beautiful together! I don't know about you, but I always need birthday cards. This year, I'm trying to stay ahead of making birthday cards, rather than waiting until the last minute to whip one together.

These cards were super easy to make and I'm going to share how I made them! To begin, I taped down the star stencil over watercolor paper. I use watercolor paper because it's sturdy and the card will not warp once the Polishing Plaster is applied through the stencil.

Next, I used a palette knife to pull the Sage Polishing Plaster through the stencil. I scraped the excess off the stencil to create a nice smooth layer.

After that, I applied some of the Gilded Azure Polishing Plaster all over being careful not to completely cover the stage. I want the stars to include both colors.

I let the Polishing Plaster dry for an hour before cutting them into panels for the card.

I trimmed them down to fit on an A2 card and mounted them onto the base. I used foam squares for one of the layers to add dimension. Then, I added the embossed sentiments using foam squares.

To complete the cards, I glued down some gems! What do you think? Aren't these beautiful. I'm loving the gold sentiments with the sage and gilded azure polishing plaster.

Thank you so much for visiting today!
